Degradation of Services (AWS Degradation)

The problem has been entirely resolved. AWS has determined that the issue lies within a subsystem that handles capacity management for their Lambda computing service, which SmarterProctoring uses for certain aspects of its proctoring services. They confirm that this subsystem’s underlying problem was fully resolved at 1:41 PM PST on 6/13. We haven’t encountered any service disruptions since then, and we consider the issue to be resolved.

Rozpoznany problem

Amazon Web Services is currently experiencing a degradation of services with some core services we utilize. For this reason, some students/faculty may experience a cascading degradation of SmarterProctoring. Currently launching SmarterProctoring exam sessions (both automated and live) is not functioning as our agreements system is being impacted by the AWS issues. We will continue to monitor and update here as more information becomes available.
